Effects of Laundry Detergent

For a lot of people, the chemicals in laundry detergents can
be very harsh on their skin. It can generate skin reactions such as red and
scaly skin or even leaving you with an itchy burning feeling. These skin
reactions can be in products that are used every day, especially your laundry
detergent.
There are many substances in detergent that can trigger an
allergic reaction. The following are common chemicals:

Phenols
This toxic chemical is considered extremely dangerous by the National Health
Institute. Because Phenol is easily absorbed, it can have a serious effect on
your lungs, kidneys, liver and heart.

Fragrance
Chemicals in detergent fragrances can cause irritation to eyes and
nostrils, trigger asthma and intensify your allergies.
·
Bleach This
can cause severe irritation to skin, eyes, throat and nose.
